well... alot of ska songs have the same ska guitar, but at different speeds, but the horn section is very different, as well as the bass, 2nd guitar (if present) and percussion... Alot of the songs sound very different, even though they contain the same guitar riff all the way through the songs.
Reggaetron is not something im worried about, it doesn't exist as far as im concerned.
alot of Reggae songs DO use the same beat, you're right, but the music is totally different, as well as the messages stated in the song. I think the only problem with Reggae is that it can get a bit repetitive, but thats only because it's part of the style. But it is quite a nice, relaxing genre of music, especially when you consider the types of stuff pounded into everyone's brains from the radio these days.
